Hmm. I hear you, but I got the impression that Rhodey was going to be the sort of comic relief that results from a (mostly) buttoned up military officer, having to cope with the shenanigans of Tony and Iron Man. Which I think casts it it a different light. Also the stated goal to have War Machine in the sequels - I just don't get the feeling that they're coming from that place. And you know, Terrence Howard is always very upfront about his politics, and being black and proud. He strikes me as the sort of guy who wouldn't be involved in that kind of a project.

I'm wondering if there have been conversations about this that I've just missed...?
