It's a fun movie even for someone with limited knowledge of comics, but the more familiar with superheroe comics you are, the funnier it is. My personal favorite bit is when Edna Mode, the superhero costume designer, gives a long lecture on all the superheroes who have been killed by their capes ("Dyna Girl, sucked into a jet engine").
