Spring Cleaning

Posted Towards Sundown to Level 3. It's the first of three (planned not written) stories in a Lillian-centric arc. Some of you may have seen it, in proto-story form, on the old journal.

I had An Introduction, That Summer, The Note and Daughters removed from Fiction Alley. The site elves are in the process of taking down Arithmancy and Flowers. More on that later. I also razed my FFN account and salted the earth on which it once stood. I'm washing my hands of the site. I'm in the process of assessing a number of projects and rating their worthiness. Most of them will be killed.

I dyed my hair and it came out patchy. I need to kick a puppy.

I did the same in with Snapesupport with their horrid sexist, lookist criticism of A. Rickman's Life Partner. (I think I told you about this- as if an perfectly ordinary, sweet looking 50 soething woman was not worthy of an middle aged actor!) God, I f*cking fumed about that, and let it all go on some bitches in particular.

Ack. I was quite fond of Arithmancy and Flowers. Whether you ever finish it or not, I hope the cleansing, burning, and razing works out for you and brings better things.

Yes, I was very much enjoying Arithmancy & Flowers, too. Is there any chance it will go up again somewhere?

Not in the very near future. It's being rewritten and hopefully finished.

What? Why?

I don't get it. Is their complaint the cat-abuse in the early chapters? The drug use in 'Abulatory'? I've always found the FA mods to be very helpful and open. It's not like ff.net where a 'decision hath been made' and you don't even get an explanation.

My 'favourite stories' list at ff.net is getting rather short. First Dien's lovely Snape/Dumbledore was taken down, then 'The Mirror of Maybe', now 'A&F'? What a drag.

Do please explain. I want to know what's going on.

I'm going to write a long explanatory post very soon, but here's the gist of it: I requested A+F be taken down because I've been increasingly dissatisfied with the quality of writing and how the story is progressing. I've decided that I needed some distance from it, before I could rewrite it and that meant taking it down, getting it away from attention.
