I need more people in my dwircle/flist. Like, a lot more. Many of the people I've been friends with for years have dropped out of sight and checking my reading pages is such a drag when there've been so few updates. I'm trying to decide where to go with my friending mission? Politics? Art people? Teen Wolf fans? (OMG) Comics? What to doooo.

SD is the only topic that gets my back up reliably. Well, that and my anti-kinks, of which I've got a few. Everything else, even when I disagree, is cool by me. Even the anti-SJ threads don't bug me (unless they're hysterically racist, or whatever), because I accept that lots of people don't want to SJ to be a priority in fandom, or don't like the particular discourse that's become popular on LJ/DW. Those people won't be brought around by my arguing with them.

Buuut, there's been a lot of trolling lately, no?

I agree with your whole first paragraph; FFA has actually been really good for me in reinforcing that live and let live attitude. But lately the trolling and hostility are too much for me. ):

Then good for you. It's so important to take a step back when you're feeling the hostility. People in fandom could stand to do this more often. :)
