Fic Challenge!

H.P. Lovecraft Title Challenge.

Rules:

1. Take a title from the site I've linked
2. Attempt to in some way invoke Lovecraft, whether in homage or parody
3. Send me the link when you're done so I can drool over your story

This is an open challenge, with no deadline or particular caveats. Slash, gen and het of all ratings and fandoms are welcome. With titles like Beyond the Wall of Sleep, The Colour Out of Space and The Lurking Fear, how can you go wrong? Bonus points for crossovers, fusions and allusions.

Who is (was?)H.P. Lovecraft?
The titles do sound interesting.

Ahhh! Horror writer from the 20's/30's. Go read a couple of them and you might start picking up on familiar phrases and themes.

Response to challenge here:

The Outsider (http://www.livejournal.com/users/lifeinwords/22486.html#cutid1).
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Willow/the First slash, R-ish. Great challenge, by the way--it quite inspired me.

Hey, no problem. Lovecraft had some interesting ideas and imagery that don't get nearly enough play. I like what you did with the challenge - Lovecraft would have been gratified. ^_-

Thank you for reading; I'm happy you think Lovecraft would have approved. *g*
