Cherries, ostriches, Riddles, colours and strange disorders
Today I learned to tie cherry stems into knots with my tongue. We still have quite a few of them, so I can spend the week mastering my new skill. Very useful this will be, at parties.
emelerin would do well to learn it, so she can entertain the geeks.

pogrebin to make this icon. No, I will not tell how I exercised my compulsion to muse. And yes folks, to muse is now a valid verb, mostly because I say so and hell, it fits nicely with fan lingo in general.
All you HP fen who have yet to do so, need to read Riddling Thomas, by
acadine, which I stumbled over in my hunt for responses to AS Byatt's piece on Harry Potter. By the way, if any of you can pass me the link to some other interesting responses, be they in fic or essay form, I would very much appreciate it.
Found an a thingy that gets rid of lj's hideous orange/purple/blue sire layout that also applies to the comment threads. Go here and switch it to XColibur. It's so much nicer.
My cousin, who I'm not close with, so don't bother offering *hugs*, has a two year old baby who does not walk or really even crawl with any kind of efficiency. It turns out that she has an unusually low ratio of grey to white brain matter, ie she just can't move, but she can think. She's a two year old girl of normal intelligence (they think) trapped in a near immobile body. It's possible that with therapy she'll be able to learn to walk and talk. Just imagine the interesting perspective she'll have.
ETA - 2 More things.
I registered for courses and since I was very, very late I had to take whatever I could get. Well.
Modern Canadian Fiction
Music and Society
Women and Politics
Public Law
Drama and Vision in the Middle Ages
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean and I loved it. So. Much. Fun. I ship Jack/Will/Elizabeth, with no variations thereof. None of this pansyass Jack/Will, or silly Jack/Elizabeth, or goofy Will/Elizabeth. They are a fabulous threesome and dammit, the movie should have ended with the three of them sailing into the sunset on the Black Pearl. You know that Will and Elizabeth wanted to go. It was in their eyes!

Just think! You'll be spending your life with a lowly slob who sits around on his arse watching football, drinks beer from the bottle, squeezes from the middle of the toothpaste tube, and spills mustard on his already-soiled white tank top.
Fine, you take him. And give me the one who puts his coat over puddles. *runs away*

But you'll still be spending part of your life with the plebe.
