Dear flist...

Today was a really good day, and in the spirit of that really goodness, I'm going to break character and share some love with you.

As many long term readers of this journal know, I dropped out of university after two years. Recently I returned to school, and am hoping, when finished my undergraduate, to attend grad school. Going back was hard, in a lot of ways, not the least of which was the financial sacrifice of leaving a fulltime job with truly ridiculous opportunities for advancement. And, I'm a little out of sync with much of the student body, but all the awkwardness in the world is worth getting to pursue my education.

So thank you, all the awesomely inspiring people on my flist who are risking everything, and going after what they want.

Dear flist: you are awesome and you keep me positive.

I've done tech college twice, had four careers, and I'm looking to bag my first degree by the time I'm forty. (Er, if running my new business doesn't eat ALL of my brains.)

It's NEVER too late to hit school again! I actually really enjoyed going back to school as a mature student... *COUGH* Dating guys ten years younger than me... omg. I totally thought that one guy was legal! *coughcoughcough*

i know that we haven't been "friends" long and that you aren't really talking to me but I just wanted to say that you are awesome for following your heart and pursuing your education, because if this is the only life we live we might as well try to learn as much as we can!!!
