Marry, F*ck, or Kill #15: Star Wars!

Three characters, people, animals, vegetables or minerals are given, and you must choose one to marry, one to f*ck and one to kill. No fence sitting. No halfsies. Ya gotta choose.

Man, the incest taboo really is just gone in fandom these days, isn't it?

Heh, yes and no. Luke/Leia is incest, but it's less disturbing to me than than Dick/Tim. That squicks me like you wouldn't believe.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in that. I can't read Dick/Bruce either. ;_; Kon/Kal also breaks me.

But Luke/Leia/Han? Mhm.

Cross generational incest is just a no-go for me. When it comes to 'emotional' rather than biological incest, there are a few rare exceptions, just as Luke/Leia/Han somehow doesn't bother me as much as Wincest does.

Well, Dick/Tim has a fairly stark power dynamic. Luke and Leia met as adults and interact as equals. (Also, the comics shipped them like mad before Lucas Jossed them, which probably goes some way toward normalizing the idea for anyone who read them.) Considering the attitude of fandom toward sex, it makes a lot of sense that emotional relationships are far more significant to whether stuff trips as incest than sheer genetics.

(Personally, I'm indifferent to most Batshipping - I don't see it, but it doesn't squick me - but Earth-2 Dick/Helena makes me twitch violently, and Johns went and made it angsty canon, AUGH. I mean, Wanda/Pietro as Ultimate canon is kind of fun, but only because it knows it's wrong and doesn't pretend to be healthy.)

Well, you could just write poly where the two of them are sharing Han without ever actually sleeping with each other, which would have some vaguely incestuous vibes, but wouldn't actually be incest.

Luke/Leia don't meet until adulthood, though, unlike most incest pairings fandom tends to like -- and Lucas himself has them kissing in the first movie. They're the same kind of suprise!incest/unintentional incest that's been a stable of gothic novels and literature in general (Moll Flanders, the collected works of V.C. Andrews) for ages. Luke/Leia actually works within a pre-existing literary tradition of romantic relationships between long-lost siblings who don't know they're related at first. Which doesn't mean it wouldn't be supremely squicky for an awful lot of readers.

To be fair, this one's been around long before the internet Age of Wincest.
