Dobby's outfit killed me. That was pure Grindylowe.

The depth was a really noteable element of this chapter - much like my favourite one, in which Snape's puppet history is revealed, there are both tiny hints that are really intriguing, and actual explanations of behaviour that aren't cheesy or obvious. In lots of ways I haven't really read a compelling and intuitively plausible rationale for Snape turning into a spy and a resource for Dumbledore, and I think she might be on to something.

Oops, notable. Or noteworthy. And I meant to say that I've read explanations of joining and leaving the DE's that are completely viable, and ones that were more sensationalistic but still rang true in the context of the story, but that finding both plausibility and novelty/high interest level together is rare.
