It's interesting how subcultures kind of normalise stuff that to outsiders look completely fucked up. I've seen it in LARP, too.

Regular stuff, I think. Like, idk, genuine arguments about whether it's cheating if you had the sex while in-character. Getting too into the mindset and wondering why people look at you weirdly when you're arguing that genocide is sometimes necessary, okay. Not understanding an unlined chainmail bikini is not really appropriate to wear at an all-ages event, and definitely not out to the shops.

We once had a hilarious incident where the Archmage(slightly inebriated) spoke sharply to a Master Scout for interrupting him, didn't he know his place? and someone had to explain that wasn't a Master Scout, it was a Scoutmaster. From the campsite team. Hilarity and apologies, etc.
