Ignore that last. I'm just making sure I have all the necessities covered in my ridiculously bare bones profile. I don't get around as much in fandom these days, so I figured that a quick policy rundown was a good idea.

You know, I started writing fic kind of as an exercise in trolling. It's weird to think I'm still at it (albeit in dribs and drabs), a decade later. It's interesting too that while some of my attitudes and interests have changed drastically, others are pretty much the same. When I was in Smallville fandom, the story I was most interested in was that of Lex's mom. Now I'm trying to figure out Tony's mom's story. And when I was in Harry Potter fandom, I either wanted to write moody DOOM stories, or the Slytherins playing board games and having food fights. Now I... write moody DOOM stories, and Tony making scientificly perfect candy, or God being a Duck.

The more things change...

TONY'S MOM. I have a WIP where she's a fairy (and a hilariously bad mother due to that), I should get back to that. I retconned her into movieverse as the cute blonde who macked on Steve, once. Tony, your predatory habits are come by honestly.

Also, I misread that as a long-term interest in Doctor Doom being emo, and was wondering if I'd missed a bunch of your fic.

I'm not a fan of sticky posts tbh. I prefer my-two-links-and-a-cracker-profile approach, because it puts the emphasis on current entries.

TONY'S MOM. You should definitely get back to the fairy story. I need it in my life. I think I mentioned I'm writing a story about Tony and his parents? I've decided that his mom is a cross between Hedy Lamarr and Grace Kelly. She's remembered as an ~American Princess, and her dresses and jewelry regularly go on tour. Also, she did Howard's math sometimes, and invented missile guidance systems. Possibly she was a performer--thereby explaining Tony's dramatics. I'm still working out the details. I might make Peggy her mentor.

Ha ha, no. I don't think I'd ever be able to write Doom seriously. The mask, the cape, the third person. He's just... so fucking funny.

I should! It's like, half Maria backstory, and half Tony gleefully seducing Steve away to fairyland. (Always such trouble writing anything without Steve/Tony) I need to work out the structure, really; tell each story in sequence, chronological-like, or do flashbacks? Tell Maria's story in weird fairy-tale format? So many option. Anyway, she was a fairy knight with crimson armour, hence inspiring Tony's colourscheme. :D

Grace Kelly, weapons designer, sounds amazing. And Peggy being her mentor! AMAZING BATTLES BETWEEN PEGGY AND HOWARD. Will Peggy be in the story? Will Tony know her? I like when Tony knows Peggy because she and Howard stayed friends. (I have a huge weakness for male/female friendships.) Howard was something of a performer; on the other hand, I don't think you can be an American Princess without being a sort-of performer?

I have a panel somewhere of Namor showing Doom around his palace, and he's all "That's the horn of Neptune, don't blow it," and Doom just lunges for it, all "FOOL! Doom does what he pleases!" and his grim iron mask is :D and the sound effect is TOOT.

I like the idea of fairy story segments, with more realistic segments. And I LOVE this idea. You must write it.

Maria is going to be considerably younger than Howard, thereby opening him up to so much flak from Peggy. I'm thinking she's more cold warrior than ww2 stalwart--maybe a contemporary of Obie's. The more I poke at this idea, the more I think it NEEDS PEGGY. The main action of the story is going to be hideously depressing probably, as it's going to be just before they die, but hmm. I can always do multiple stories in the verse.

Oh, Doom.
