Questions for Stargate Atlantis fans
Why does the Stargate program remain classified? Has this been satisfactorily explained in the show?
Don't the people of earth have a right to know about the alien invasions that seem to happen every week?
And what's with the replicators on earth thing? I mean seriously - why would you spend all that money to develop nano-soldiers when it's so much cheaper to hire some mercs? I don't get it! The writers could have come up with a much more plausible explanation for earth-based nano-experimentation. But T2 there didn't make a whole lot of practical sense.
And finally, how the hell is Ronan so damned pretty!?!

O Canada :)
Recently I've been enjoying Bob's story, especially seeing Rodney and John's very different responses to him.
I think the current fan favorite is Todd (the current big-name Wraith). He's played by Christopher Heyerdahl (who also played Halling in Season One) and he's so funny (Wraith humor is..very weird). He's got a strong connection to John (by way of Common Ground...REALLY great ep) and reappeared in Season Four with an arc. He is supposed to be back for the last ep of Season Four and again in Season Five.
Have these eps been shot, or are they to be completed post-strike?
The Writer's Guild of America (WGA) is on strike, but the Writer's Guild of Canada (WGC) is not. Carl Binder is the only one who is striking (even though he doesn't have to) because he's a dual member of the WGA and WGC. Kindred was shot around July 2007 and will air February 22nd and 29th. Season Four wrapped filming the first week of October 2007, literally two days before Baz (Hewlett) was born, so nice season-ending present for David ;) The last ep of Season Four will air March 7th. The writers have already written pretty much half of Season Five already and they're set to start filming in about two weeks. Season Five will return this fall, probably around September/October.

Oooh. That's good to hear. Watching SGA is becoming a habit - I may be in danger of becoming a full-fledged fan.

No problem :) There's been Bob, Steve, Michael, Todd (all named by John) and sooooooooo many Queens (all who have a real thing for John;)
SGA is a good habit. I fully support the habit.

Well, Ford attempted at the beginning to name things, but John put a stop to that (though, I like his ideas...why DON'T we name the planet with the waterfalls The Waterfall Planet? However, Planet Kid-Kill might not have gone over so well)
Then Rodney, if he had gotten his way, would have named the Puddlejumpers Gate Ships. I find it amusing that in the alternate realities (where there is no John Sheppard), Rodney actually got his way and they are indeed called Gate Ships :) "They're ships that go through the gate...Gate Ships."

The SGA team should rise up en masse and end John Sheppard's wicked naming tyranny!
