See Castiel struggling to fit in and not commit manslaughter. See Gabriel making a mockery of that sacred institution: Parent-Teacher Night. See Anna glaring the other mothers into submission. See Sam and Dean being weirded out by their new neighbor.
"Dude."
"What?"
"He's even weirder than his parents."
"Who?"
"The new kid, dumbass. He's standing on the lawn staring into the sky."
"That's... kinda strange."
"For ten minutes."
Sam pushed Dean to the side, claiming a few inches of window sill for himself. He looked across the street, to the freshly burnt lawn* of their new neighbor's house. The new kid was standing on the charred remains of the lawn, in bare feet, jeans, t-shirt and an over-sized trench coat. His head was thrown back so he could stare directly up into the sun.
"You think we should tell dad?"
"I don't- whoa." Dean and Sam both pressed closer to the window. The new kid was moving, his neck craning, head tilting-- he was looking at them. Through the sheers.
"Yeah," said Dean. "We should tell dad. When he calls."
* I've decided that for reasons known only to himself, Gabriel burned out the lawn. Screwing with the condo board, perhaps?
And then Sam and Dean proceed to investigate their suspiciously weird neighbors.
