I think I might write a story...

SPN RPF AU that isn't
May. 13th, 2010 05:31 pmWhy haven't I created a tag for these things? I'm a damn fool. A DAMN FOOL who's got to thoroughly rejig her tagging system.
Jensen's a now-openly gay Congressman with a military background. Misha's a writer and public intellectual. Jensen is trying to duck the speculation about their epic love, and return to the issues. On either The Daily Show, or Real Time With Bill Maher, he's finally talked into spilling. (Before you get into ship-warring-whackadoodlery, I just think the idea of a Jensen-like character trying to publicly 'explain' a Misha-like character - and their epic love - is hilarious).
"So you're a devout Christian."
"Well, I try to be."
"And you're sleeping with a devout - male! - Buddhist."
*laughs, ducks head* "Yeah."
"How... ecumenical of you. Next you'll be sleeping with Republicans, in an effort to ~bring the House together."

kijikun said something about a story where Castiel is Gabriel and Anna's fledgling. That's all fine and good, but what I want is a story where Castiel is Gabriel and Anna's fledge, and they're raising their awkward teen-angel on earth. See Castiel struggling to fit in and not commit manslaughter. See Gabriel making a mockery of that sacred institution: Parent-Teacher Night. See Anna glaring the other mothers into submission. See Sam and Dean being weirded out by their new neighbor.

Where is the Supernatural AU where Jess teams up with Dean to save Sam from Azazel?
Dean shows up to lure Sam away from Stanford and Sam demands some time to think it over. Dean reluctantly agrees. When he comes back in the morning, Jess answers the door. Sam's not there. Gone with him are a few changes of clothing and enough supplies to suggest that he's gone after John himself. Naturally Dean is already halfway out the door. Naturally Jess decides that she's coming along.
They follow John's clues, and defeat the Woman In White, the Wendigo and so on. All the time looking for Sam and John. When John shows up again, he's got lead on Sam: with the Yellow Eyed Demon, along with the other special children John's identified over the years. Cue showdown in the Village Of The Damned (teenagers).

SPN human AUs
Apr. 15th, 2010 11:48 amOk, where's the human AU where the angels are The Angels, a powerful crime family. Castiel and Uriel are mob enforcers, and drive around in a beautifully restored Pontiac GTO, listening to talk radio. Uriel calls in at least twice a day, to harangue the hosts, and to complain about the poor quality of the ads. They don't have a trunk full of weapons, because they don't need that shit. They have tasteful, silenced handguns (not too big, not too small), and failing that, Uriel's got his hands and Castiel has his garrote. Sam and Dean are cops (or maybe Feds!) and they convince Castiel to turn state's evidence.
Must include: Bela as a charmingly amoral thief! Meg, enforcer for a rival family! Vice cop Ruby, who's infiltrating the police force on the family's orders! Bobby as an angry police captain! Hendricksen as himself! Police lieutenant Ellen, and rookie cop Jo! Raphael, Gabriel and Michael! Other cool stuff!
Also, seriously? What's with the hopeless-nerd!Castiel who inhabits most of these stories? Can I get a little badassery? Maybe the fencing team, or an FBI profiler, obsessed doctor to Dean's EMT? Just something other than apologetically nerdy, too cute for Cute Overload, socially awkward Castiel.
