Just started Kings in the North: the House of Percy in British History. A bit of a grind so far, as we're in the first records and they're sparse so there's a lot of speculation.

Hunt for Red October, Mr Whatistigerbalm's favourite book. It's not bad!
dingsi: The Corinthian smoking a cigarette. He looks down thoughtfully and breathes the smoke out of his nose. (books)

I'm still slugging my way through "Rip It Up And Start Again: Post Punk 1978-1984" by Simon Reynolds. It is sorted by bands, not chronologically, and often focuses more on the albums and music than the people or atmosphere, which makes it hard to keep up interest. But I'm stubborn.

There's also a bazillion books I haven't finished yet. I often read several books at once. Might get back to Anne Fausto-Sterling's "Sexing the body : gender politics and the construction of sexuality"; that one was quite interesting and not too dry.
