question about Colleen and Misty

There are a couple of occasions I can think of where Misty says something like, "I love that crazy white girl." (I think in the Fraction run, and somewhere else). But Colleen is of course biracial and was raised in Japan - so what's up with the erasure? As if Danny Rand isn't problematic enough...

And on a related note - how is Colleen not getting more attention from writers? idgi

Hmmm

If he had Colleen say, "I just love that crazy biracial girl" eyebrows would have been raised, I guess. Considering the dodgy myths that swirl around biracial characters when it comes to stories from back in the day.

Fraction thinks that he's hip at times. Although it works in some ways, it falls flat in others.

But Misty was always written as 'sassy', with her calling everyone 'baby' and the rest of it. I appreciated her badass, but the way she was written, I excepted snapping fingers too (but then, I used to read the HoH comics in the early 80s, haven't read much of 'em since).

I actually like Ultimates Misty a bit better, because she's the same bad ass but without the sass, if that makes sense?
