So where is all the revenge fic? I feel like this a story rarely told in fic--because of the overriding interest in the development of relationships?

Offhand I can think of a few truly epic revenge stories in HP, SPN and SGA, but it's not nearly as common as things like h/c, romance, and coming of age.

Do you share the sense that it's an uncommon subject for fic? What are some significant/favourite revenge stories you've read?
