Right.

Have read OotP. Point me to the good discussions and essays, please. *snaps fingers*

After being spoiled FIVE TIMES while reading lj and FAP, I finally gave up and went offline until I'd finished reading the book, and have missed out on much of the immediate post-OotP talk. I'm not even talking about minor spoilers, but things that are crucial to OotP and the rest of the series, right out there in big black letters. My favourite spoiler was in Professor McGonagall's, delivered by someone who should have known better. But enough of my whining. ^_-

I only just finished the book about twenty minutes ago, and I'm not ready for any deep analysis, but I'm sure it's on its way. If you corner me on AIM you can watch me squee. And then squee some more. I have no shame.

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: Just because someone has no insight doesn't give them the right to accuse others of a lack of understanding.

[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: Sure it does. O.o

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: Dude.
[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: Oh, and it's completely true that critical analysis of popular fiction is *wrong* because reality cannot be applied to it.

[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: Of course, man.
[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: It's JUST A HOBBY. *g*

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: It's JUST FOR FUN.

[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: Yup. NO SERIOUS THOUGHT ALLOWED!

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: I mean, it's A CHILDREN'S BOOK, FOR GOD'S SAKE.

[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: How DARE you try to search out the deeper MEANINGS!

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: Especially using that, that THING you call LOGIC.

[livejournal.com profile] blackfall: Logic? LOGIC?! *burns books compulsively*

[livejournal.com profile] vesania_aeterno: *giggles*
